Future controls for how the archive feels without changing what it says. Inspired by high-trust design: deep navy or Oxford blue for structure, soft alabaster or white for openness, sage or eucalyptus for calm accents, burnished gold or bronze used sparingly for emphasis, and slate grey for neutral text and borders.

Named themes (e.g. classic archive, observatory, reduced motion) as presets — not endless sliders on day one.
Layout toggles: reader-focused vs explorer-focused chrome; density options for lists and articles.
Respect for system contrast and font size; no dark pattern nudges.

These options will apply to public pages first; admin tooling stays separate.
